Rebecca has been writing most of her life. She holds an MFA in screenwriting from the Academy of Art University. Rebecca grew up in the hard-working, small towns of Northern Canada. She spent decades writing, fundraising and travelling with non-profits and forward-thinking brands. Drawing from these globe-spanning experiences, Rebecca writes authentically about fragmented and found families. Though she explores the hard edges of modern life, she loves to tie in the healing power of keeping a sense of humour. Her work has placed in multiple contests including The Nicholl Fellowship, the Austin Film Festival and Cinestory. She has two Emmy-award-winning producers attached to one of her crime drama pilots. Rebecca resides in Vancouver, BC with her husband and two daughters, where she continues her obsession with exploring the moody Pacific Northwest.
